Program overview
Join the very first cohort of this Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
Sooner or later, a pregnant student walks into your class. Most yoga teachers quietly panic. I know, because I was one of them. I had no clue about prenatal yoga, and I didn’t really care.
Then I got pregnant myself, and my regular practice was suddenly off limits. Twists, deep backbends, fast flows, core work: my body needed something different, and most teachers I met didn’t know what.
So I trained as a prenatal yoga teacher and as a doula, and I spent years learning what really helps a pregnant body, and what doesn’t. This training gives you all of it, so you can teach pregnant and postpartum students with confidence instead of guesswork.
You’ll be able to fill prenatal and postnatal classes, support families through one of the biggest transitions of their lives, and stand out as a specialist.
I hope to see you in the training.

Introducing the
EASE
birth method
EASE Birth Method
Prenatal yoga beyond comfort
Most prenatal yoga programs teach pose modifications to make pregnant students feel comfortable in class. In the Movement Wisdom Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training we go beyond comfort.
E is for Empowerment
Fear of birth is linked to longer labors and more interventions. You'll learn mindfulness practices that reduce that fear, and yogic philosophy that gives your students a new perspective on who they are and what they're capable of.

A is for Asana
Prenatal yoga is linked to less pain and less anxiety in pregnancy and labor. You'll learn four pregnancy-safe styles: Hatha, Slow Flow, Restorative and Prenatal Chair Yoga, a rare skill that helps you stand out.

S is for Science
Prenatal guidelines have changed, but many teachers still follow outdated rules and ideas about pregnancy. You'll learn what's actually safe, what helps prepare for labor, and why.

E is for Energy
Calm breathing supports the hormones that keep labor moving. You'll learn breathwork, meditation and subtle body practices women can use throughout pregnancy and in the delivery room.

Why prenatal yoga
The scientifically proven benefits of prenatal yoga are huge
You can help your students unlock all of them.
After graduation
What you'll be able to do after graduation

Safety & Scope
Know when to modify, and when to refer
Pregnant students bring their medical history to class. For each topic you learn what’s happening in the body, how to adapt the practice, and when to send a student back to their midwife or doctor.

Three bonus programs on nutrition, birth and the doula’s perspective, so you can support your students beyond the mat
Nutrition Training - $400 value
What to eat during pregnancy and postpartum
Nine lessons on how eating needs change from pregnancy through recovery and into the first solid foods. You’ll learn what helps with nausea and swelling, what to skip and why, what a baby needs at each stage, and how to fuel labor and recovery. Your students will bring these questions to class, and you’ll understand what they’re dealing with and speak to it with confidence. Evidence-based, with no fear-mongering.
Birth Prep - $250 value
A midwife's crash course on labor and birth
Sixteen short lessons with legendary midwife Jutta Wohlrab on what actually happens during labor: the stages, the hormones, what the uterus is doing, options for managing pain, and how women decide where and with whom to give birth. Knowing the physiology gives you the context to teach breath and movement for birth with purpose. You’ll see exactly where the work on the mat meets the real thing.
Doula Perspective - $100 value
The doula perspective: supporting birth partners
A conversation with professional doula Camalo Gaskin on what a well-prepared birth partner actually does: how to offer physical comfort, when to speak up, and how to stay useful when things get intense. It gives you a practical view of the support your students will rely on in the room, and ideas for bringing their partners into your classes.

FAQ
Questions? Answers.
Who is a good fit?
This training is for yoga teachers who want to specialize in teaching pregnant and postpartum students. That includes 200-Hour YTT graduates, and also doulas, midwives, and physical therapists who want to bring yoga into their work. You don’t need to be a mother or have taught prenatal yoga before.
Can I register as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT)?
Yes. The training is 85 hours and built to meet Yoga Alliance’s standard for prenatal yoga teacher trainings. To register as an RPYT, you need a 200-hour yoga teacher training (before or after this one) plus 30 hours of prenatal teaching after you graduate.
Do I need to take the 200-Hour YTT first?
No. You can take this training before, after, or without a 200-hour training. Please note that this is not a foundational yoga teacher training, and you’ll need a 200-hour training to register as an RPYT.
Can I start anytime?
Yes. The lessons are self-paced, so you set your own schedule and study without time pressure. The live practicum sessions run on set dates, and you’ll find the schedule inside the course.
What happens after I join?
You get immediate access to our course- and community platform and you can start right away.
Who is the lead teacher?
You’ll study with Jess Rose, our founder. Jess is an E-RYT 500 and a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher with more than 15 years of industry experience. She is known for her unique ability to merge modern movement science and ancient yogic wisdom into addictive asana classes. More than one million students from around the world practice with Jess regularly. You’ll also learn from a midwife and a doula.
What does the curriculum cover?
The 85 hours cover everything a prenatal teacher needs: yogic practices for each trimester, anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, teaching methodology and sequencing, philosophy and ethics, and a practicum where you observe and teach. You’ll learn how to work with common complications, when to refer a student to her healthcare provider, and how to support students through the postpartum months. You also get the Healthy Mama class library, a resource library, and a training manual.
What are the requirements to complete the course?
Each module ends with a short quiz to help you consolidate what you learned, not a pass/fail exam. Complete all the modules and the practicum, and you’re certified as a Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher, with the option to register your hours with Yoga Alliance.
Can I really learn to teach yoga online?
Yes, absolutely. Everything that matters for becoming a standout prenatal yoga teacher can be learned online: anatomy, empathy, step-by-step pose workshops, breathwork, teaching skills, and more. The live practicum gives you real teaching practice with feedback. And lifetime access and unlimited flexibility are huge advantages over in-person education.
What kind of support do I receive after graduation?
After graduation, you’ll retain lifetime access to all course materials, allowing you to revisit any content as needed. You’ll also continue to have access to our graduate community, where you can connect with fellow teachers, share resources, and find ongoing support. Plus, you’ll have continued access to all community calls with your lead trainer Jess Rose.
How can I get a refund?
You have 30 days to try the program. If you want to drop out, just email help@movementwisdomyoga.com. No questions asked. Please note that physical products (like printed manuals) are non-refundable since they’re produced on demand.
